South West Food & Drink at Food & Drink Expo

Food and Drink processing is the largest industrial sector in the South West, adding over £2.8 billion to the value of the raw ingredients it uses and employing round 85,000 people – thus providing 4.4% of the jobs in the region.

Food & Drink Expo at the NEC is the UK’s largest food-led event and a ‘must’ for South West Food & Drink to showcase the region’s excellence. In 2006 and again in 2008 Posh Pig Promotions were contracted to co-ordinate their stand - the largest regional pavilion at the exhibition.

The 378m2 space was created to showcase the regional brand and to promote 45 top quality producers from all over the South West. The brief was to sell and then manage the space, liaising with the exhibitors, pavilion designer, exhibition organisers and PR agencies in the lead up to the event.

Philip Watts, a top South West chef, was on hand to create delicious canapés and refreshments to demonstrate the exhibitor produce to the VIP’s visiting the hospitality area. The large number of visitors to the pavilion and the extremely positive post event feedback is testimony to the excellence of the overall management of the event, which was deemed a success for the producers and South West Food & Drink.

Client Comments

Posh Pig managed the project in a most professional manner. Their attention to detail was second to none and it resulted in a smooth organisation of all the proceedings throughout the management period.
